Citizens for a Greater Centreville.  RiverFest is a terrific family event, 
free and open to all, featuring beach activities, a fish fry, and music all 
afternoon starting at 3pm. I'm pasting in an email text "flyer" below. Hope

We're Celebrating our 20th Anniversary
 at RiverFest!

Saturday July 15, 2006

 At Conquest Beach,
outside of Centreville

1:00 p.m. ­ 7:30 p.m.

The Chester River Association welcomes everyone to RiverFest! for a day on 
the river. It's a good old-fashioned picnic, and a reunion for everyone who 
loves the Chester. Admission is free.  Enjoy swimming, seine netting, and 
the celebrated marsh muck ­ beachfront activities led by Chester Riverkeeper 
Tony Prochaska and Captain Andy McCown of Echo Hill Outdoor School. 
Terrapin hatchling "release" at 2 p.m. thanks to "turtle lady" Margie 
Whilden.  Life guards in attendance all day.

Music starts at 3:00 p.m., featuring the renowned Pan Masters Steel Band, 
followed by soul stirring gospel music ­ Delbert Hicks and the Gospel 
Shepherds, and Sylvia Frazier and the Anointed Vessels.  At 6:45,  Eastern 
Shore blue grass favorites "Chester River Run-Off" will close out the show 
with special guest Chris Cerino.

Bring your own picnic, or for $10, enjoy a classic Eastern shore fish fry 
from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  B.Y.O. Boat!  Log canoes will be racing that 
day, too.

Conquest is a 758-acre preserve on the Corsica and Chester Rivers. The beach 
is on the Chester River shore across from Comegys Bight. By car, take Route 
213 north of Centreville to Spaniard's Neck Road (opposite Northbrook homes) 
and follow signs. Meet up with your friends and family and enjoy some great
