[CGC] Meetings and What's New this week

EVENTS

- The next Planning Commission Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday June 21st 
at 7:00 pm in the Health Department Building on N. Commerce St.  Items to be 
discussed include a Concept Plan for the Centreville Business Park, 100 
Academy Lane, and and Ordinance  Regarding Accessory Apartments in Detached 
Buildings.  A copy of the agenda is on the CGC website.

- A Town Council work session is scheduled for Thursday June 22nd at 4:00 pm 
at the Goodwill Fire Department 1st floor meeting room. Topics include the 
FY 2007 Budget, the Northbrook Trail, and the Northbrook Arsenic Facility.

- The Town Council will meet at 6:00 pm Thursday June 22nd at the Goodwill 
Fire Department 1st floor meeting room to hopefully vote on a budget.


WHAT'S NEW

- A copy of Andrew Langer's letter supporting the expansion of the Town 
Council to five members is posted on the CGC website.

- At its Budget Work Session on June 13, 2006, the Town Council directed 
staff to reduce the revenue projection for the FY 2007 Budget to assume a 
real property tax rate of $0.45 per $100 in assessed value. This reduction 
of $0.03 per $100 from the prior tax rate yields a 6% decrease in the real 
property tax rate for the Town's property owners.
