Hearing to Protect Open space!

Tuesday night before the Queen Anne's County Commission will be a public 
hearing on the Open Space protection act.

The bill would prevent developers from re-developing open space once it is 
deeded.  The Commission has been facing strong opposition to the legislation 
from the powerful developers lobbying interests, and the town of 
Centreville.  The town, according to a letter recently received by the 
Commission wants to have the ability to add even more land for development 
to town limits.  Regardless of the town's desire to have even more 
development, they should not be able to develop on deed restricted open 
space.
